The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation drafted a bill that prohibits bookmaker’s offices and betting houses accept bets on non-sporting events and introduces tax liabilities amounting to 10% of the quarterly revenue.
The Russian Finance Ministry has initiated a draft law “On Amendments to the Federal Law “On state regulation of activities of the organization and conduct of gaming and amending some legislative acts of the Russian Federation”.
The draft law involves the adoption of a tax rate amounting to 10% of the quarterly revenue for the organizers of gambling in bookmaker’s offices and betting houses. Payments received from betting providers will be directed at carrying out activities aimed to support the development of physical culture and sports.
Besides, developed by the Finance Ministry draft law prohibits bookmaker’s offices and betting houses accept online and offline bets on non-sporting events.
Earlier, the government drafted a law on the establishment of administrative and criminal responsibility for the systematic provision of premises for gambling without a license. his draft law was approved by the Government Committee on the legislative drafting activities of the Russian Federation.
